Quality Assessment

The Max Weber Foundation guarantees the high quality of its activities on a long-term basis. Independent experts are asked on a regular basis to externaly evaluate the institutes.

Moreover, the institutes’ scientific advisory councils provide consultation and produce reports and thereby guarantee that the institutes receive added expertise in its quality assessment in the meantime that ensures an ideal preparation for the external evaluation.

The German Institute for Japanese Studies (DIJ Tokyo) and the German Historical Institute in Rome (DHI Rome) were the foundation´s first institutes to be evaluated in 2011.
