AI and Historical Research
In this seminar, we discuss strategies on how to approach digital historical research projects with AI. By distinguishing between AI as tool and AI as method, we demonstrate how this distinction fundamentally shapes the integration pipeline.
Sarah Oberbichler and Cindarella Petz recently published the Working Paper: Implementing Generative AI in the Historical Studies which provides a detailed overview on implementation strategies, critical evaluation, and best practices to use generative AI for research and analysis in historical studies: https://zenodo.org/records/14924737
