Staff representation
Staff representation in the Max Weber Foundation is regulated according to the German federal staff representation act (Bundespersonalvertretungsgesetz). It is exercised by staff councils and by delegates of the locally employed staff at each institute. At the level of the Foundation, the chairpersons of the local staff councils elect a representative from among their number for a term of four years to perform the tasks of the general staff council (Hauptpersonalrat).
The right to represent the staff of the Foundation at meetings of the Board of Trustees is exercised either by the Hauptpersonalrat or by a representative who is elected by the delegates of the locally employed staff.
