German Forum for Art History Paris

Information

The German Center for Art History Paris (DFK Paris) is an independent art historical research institute. Located in the center of the international art metropolis Paris with its prominent museums, archives, and research institutions, it sees itself programmatically as a “forum” and place of international professional exchange.
Here, the academic traditions of France and the German-speaking areas enter into a fruitful dialogue with international positions and become a starting point for innovative and interdisciplinary research on the art of the two countries in a global context. With its annual themes, the Institute specifically ties in the latest scientific discourse, which is negotiated within the framework of a study program.
