German Historical Institute in Rome

The German Historical Institute in Rome (DHI Rome) with its music history department sees itself as a forum for international exchange and as a mediator between different academic cultures, especially the ones of Italy and Germany. Integrated into a dense network of international cooperation, DHI Rome is committed to deepen the social discourse on historical topics and upholds a cross-epochal and interdisciplinary understanding of research. Likewise, it offers a variety of formats for the promotion of young scholars. The library, which is equipped with history and music history collections, is open to all researchers.
